San Pedro Cathedral in Davao City
This is the oldest church in Davao. Built in 1847 in honor of St. Peter, Davao City's patron saint, the original altar is housed at the right wing of the cathedral. Renovations made on the church reflect a more modern architectural style atypical of Spanish-era churches.

Off the coast of Davao City is Samal Island, an island city under the Province of Davao del Norte. Samal Island boasts of beautiful beaches, the most famous of which is Pearl Farm Resort. It takes an hour's ride via boat to reach Samal Island from Davao City.

The Philippine Eagle is locally known as the Haribon, a derivative of Haring Ibon or "bird king." Currently, 18 of these eagles have been bred in captivity at the Philippine Eagle Center.
